1. remember the way the soles of your feet hit the hard ground and how it doesn’t break beneath you. feel your weight supported. notice how there are no cracks in the sun-warmed pavement. note the equilibrium, how your bones align in balance. you do not shake, the earth does not tremble. instead, all is held firm: standing up straight.
2. recognize the particular golden tone of your own thread in this intricate pattern. notice the color, the texture, as you weave yourself into place in this cloth. see the fine-point needle tug you tight into a firm arrangement. admit how securely, how surely, how easily you fit in. confess that the fabric wouldn’t be complete without you. notice the surrounding threads holding you thoroughly in place. really nothing out of order. perceive the beauty of the way it all folds together as it hangs in the wind.
3. feel the air move into you. feel the air release from your chest. realize how close this brings you into everything else. sanction the closeness. become closer to here, to now. pull yourself from the illusion of division. become stabilized by the unity between yourself and all things. concede. uphold. support. find trust.
