by A.J. Huffman
of motion overtakes my senses.
Sleek knife skimming
depths and surface. I am the breathing
skin of perpetual life. United
with the waves that envelop me,
I rise and fall at will. One
black eye searches the darkened waters
for nourishment. The other locks
on lone reflective ray,
promising to lead me toward tomorrow.
