Life isn’t always magic.
Sometimes,
a tepid morning fills
itself with the
small necessities:
a run to the pharmacy.
Cleaning last night’s
soaking pot.
Watching a sitcom
before bed;
an inexpressive face
lit up only by flickering…
What else should one ask for when the party was yesterday?
when our minds refuse
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&to focus
on the written word.
&&&&&When our energy is low,
&&&&&&&&&when the river rapids have finally
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&reached their
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&anti-climactic
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&end.
Perhaps it’s those moments of banality,
&&&&&where
God
truly reveals himself
not as the Almighty,
but as small
and significant
&&&&&as ourselves.
