Vacuous

Is this too much                                                          it is too much
how much is too much?                                          too much space

Is this too much grief?                                               it is too much
how much is too much?                                       too much darkness

we spread out                                                          we come together
petri dish of sorrow                                               spreading our woe

collection plate                                                         money at our feet
riches of our body                                                    gold-glittering

I love you and I let you go                                          I let you go
I let you go and I burst.                                               I love you.

Is this too much                                                          it is too much
How much is too much distance?                       too much absence

Is this too much                                                         it is too much
How much is too much disappearance?          too much haunting

Is this too much                                                   too much movement
How much is too much growth                         too much stagnancy

How much is too much want                                 too much us
How do I eviscerate my need                                  I let you go

How do I rid my body of all                                     I love you
desire?                                                                         Nothing is left.
